Ghostly International Seeks UK/EU Label Manager based in London
Reports to: VP of Operations UK/EU and Ghostly International Managing Director
DESCRIPTION:
Ghostly International seeks a UK Label Manager. The candidate will be based in London, and act as the lead representative and ambassador for Ghostly International in the UK and Europe. Their primary mission will be to fortify the label’s presence in the UK and European markets, working closely with a global network to execute effective release strategies. They must be a great communicator in person and as a writer. They must be a motivated self-starter who can add passion and insight into the UK and European markets for our acts to help them further connect with a wider audience. They should be willing to work flexibly to allow travel and attend live events. They should have at least 3–4 years’ experience of working in the music industry and be enthusiastic and familiar with our roster.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Represent, manage and promote Ghostly International’s brand and roster across the UK and Europe
- Work closely with A&R and serve as the primary operational point of contact for the territory
- Oversee all core elements of priority UK/EU record release cycles, production deadlines and campaign timelines
- Coordinate regional press and radio teams, and organise local promo trips
- Supply local teams with the necessary tools and assets to successfully implement campaigns
- Responsible for managing local budgets and meeting regional sales targets
- Conduct periodical stock management and control of frontline and catalog releases
- Manage day to day relationships with local DSP offices and contacts to promote the roster
- Strategise with Ghostly International’s digital team to maximise repertoire performance
- Collate and distribute regular territory reports with the wider organisation
- Build relationships with artists, their management teams, agents and promoters on the ground
- Find new opportunities for Ghostly artists in the territory and help source and nurture new talent
- Expand Ghostly International’s regional network and maintain relationships with key local partners
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3–4 years’ experience in music
- A thorough understanding of the UK and European music market
- Must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Work independently, conscientiously and with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Show passion and familiarity with the Ghostly roster
- Excellent communication skills, hands-on-mentality and team spirit
- Ability to prioritise in a project deadline environment
