about this role

As the Art Director, you will work closely with the Creative Director and Creative Producer in defining the creative vision for PANGAIA. You are passionate about creating innovative content across all platforms. You are responsible for content idea generation for all creative campaigns at PANGAIA, and for seeing each project through from conception to execution. You work alongside multiple teams, ensuring both creative and brand guidelines are adhered to throughout all content. You will sit within the Creative Department, and report into the Creative Director.

a day in the life

  • You will be responsible for all concept creation for PANGAIA’s creative campaigns, as well as overseeing these projects through from conception to execution.
  • You will work strategically with both the Creative and Brand teams to ensure both visual and brand guidelines are being adhered to throughout all creation.
  • You will be in constant research of upcoming talents as well as visual, conceptual references to build the vision of the brand
  • You will create and update a brand moodboard with all these references
  • Propose concepts to elevate our Ecom (on model, packshots and creative ecom content)
  • You will be an expert in directing on set.
  • You will create storyboards/ a full creative breakdown for all creative campaigns.
  • You will brief and feedback campaign concepts to partner agencies from conception to execution.
  • You will oversee the work of a Junior Art Director, ensuring their work is within the brief, whilst managing their development.
  • You will encourage continuous ideas, inspiring the creative team, whilst staying true to the brand DNA.
  • You will challenge and push the boundaries of the brand expression.

qualifications and requirements

  • You have 7+ years of experience in the creative industry, with previous experience as an Art Director.
  • Additionally of having strong image knowledges and a strong sense of graphic design.
  • You have sharp eye for post production, and knows how to create retouch briefs.
  • You have experience independently running campaigns.
  • You have a strong industry network.
  • You are a clear communicator, have excellent presentation skills and the ability to verbalise ideas and concepts.
  • You have previous managerial experience, and enjoy developing the careers of others.
  • You are an advanced Adobe Suite user.
  • You are of current movements and trends in fashion, graphic and fine arts, design, photography and have the ability to translate them into the distinctive PANGAIA image.
  • You have the ability to work at speed, with an agile approach to regular changes without compromising on quality.
  • You have a strong sense of organization that helps you thrive in a fast paced environment.
  • You are proactive and able to show initiative and bring ideas to the table.
