SCREENSHOT Media is hiring a Staff Writer & Editorial Assistant to work directly under our Editor-in-Chief alongside our editorial team in the production of daily articles on our news and entertainment media website, screenshot-media.com

About SCREENSHOT Media 🤩

SCREENSHOT Media is an award-winning new generation media company with both a digital publishing and a creative agency arm. Our mission is to create and distribute content across news, culture and entertainment to our core audience of 18 to 25-year-olds on their own terms.

We have built one of the fastest-growing Gen Z-specific media companies in the UK, grown organically through a savvy and creative team. Established just over 3 years ago, SCREENSHOT Media reaches half a billion (yes, a billion) Gen Zers every month and accumulates shy of 50 million 1 minute unique views across our social media channels as well as our flagship website.

Our agency arm SCREENSHOT Agency helps best-in-class brands speak to Gen Z in an authentic and purposeful way, working with the likes of TOMS, Wagamama, Huawei, Calvin Klein and many more.

We dominate the Gen Z space with content that hits different and pride ourselves on the information we deliver to our audience through each and every one of our channels. Our core purpose is to give the youth generation a voice by building communities that inform, engage and entertain.

As far as an exciting, next generation media company goes, this is it! And we’re looking for hardworking, savvy, creative and energetic people to join us for the ride.

Role overview ✍️

As a member of our in-house editorial team, you will be expected to contribute to the day-to-day operations of our flagship website. This includes keeping up to date on current affairs, pop culture and gen Z conversations; brainstorming story ideas with the help of the rest of our editorial team; editing and scheduling content; producing impactful articles that cut through the noise through fresh angles; and constantly coming up with new and optimised ways to engage with our target demographic.

Working directly under our Editor-in-Chief as well as hand in hand with the rest of the editorial team, you’ll be expected to deliver top-quality content to our Gen Z audience on everything politics, culture, technology and other trends driving the conversations.

As a Staff Writer & Editorial Assistant within SCREENSHOT Media’s editorial department, you’ll be encouraged and empowered to keep pushing yourself to grow, disrupt, and level up with refreshing stories and top-level journalism! 🚀
