Job Purpose

This role is responsible for identifying If You Could’s growth opportunities (primarily across sales and audience) and managing the team’s effort and external collaborators to make the most of these opportunities. The growth manager acts as the business lead for If You Could Jobs and sets, leads and reviews targets with a month to month overview.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in business development and desire to lead a growing business.
  • A proven track record in growing and developing sales
  • Experience of managing a CRM (Hubspot)
  • A passion for helping people find their next job in the creative industry
  • An understanding of the creative industry and current topics and conversations
  • An entrepreneurial spirit, keen to bring new ideas and make them happen

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee sales and business strategy
  • Lead If You Could Jobs into its next phase of growth
  • Identify growth opportunities (primarily in sales and audience)
  • Suggest and implement different ways to work towards growth
  • Define and delegate priorities to a small team
  • Analyse effectiveness and financial performance across multiple opportunities and make adjustments where necessary
  • Manage staff, setting and reviewing targets and development, gaining improvement in performance
  • Represent, influence and progress the business externally
  • Maintain relationships, securing new business and ensuring future stability
  • Maintain a positive working culture
  • Maintain creative awareness and understanding of creative industry

Key Tasks

  • Set, manage and review the sales strategy (including HubSpot CRM)
  • Set, manage and review the audience strategy (including marketing, editorial, social and SEO)
  • Manage team members (currently Junior Account Manager with the ambition to grow)
  • Grow the team based on opportunities identified
  • Manage external consultants and collaborators (across SEO, Editorial, Design and Development)
  • Test, innovate and review new ideas and opportunities
  • Scoping, quoting and contracting the biggest, most important clients and collaborators
  • Overseeing budget spreadsheets and timelines
  • Managing and reporting on finances
  • Leading most important client meetings
  • Management of the team’s development needs and any future recruitment
  • Maintain the identity of the business publicly
  • Maintain the business culture

Key Details

  • Level: Senior
  • Salary: £50,000 – £55,000 pa
  • Reporting into: Will Hudson, Co-CEO of HudsonBec Group
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am — 6pm (flexible hours between 8am – 7pm)
  • Location: Two days a week in our London office and three days a week flexible/remote
