We are a multidisciplinary team of graphic, information, product, digital and brand designers. Together, we produce awardwinning wayfinding, placemaking, branded environments and film, devising people-centric, context-relevant designs that stand the test of time. Working across diverse sectors, including retail, commercial, hospitality, cultural, education, and residential, we specialise in reinvigorating spaces by renewing brands in the built environment and optimising physical assets by creating a strong sense of place and identity.

We are looking for a talented designer to join us as a Wayfinding Designer to join us on a permanent basis.

What we’re looking for

  • You are a creative, talented and committed designer, passionate about wayfinding strategy and design, information design, typography and the creative process.
  • You will have experience of wayfinding design and the design of information and environmental graphics for complex environments across multiple sectors; this could include airports, large scale mixed-use developments, retail and leisure destinations.
  • You will be able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your workload effectively.
  • You have strong verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to get involved in all stages of the creative process, from ideation, to production, and implementation is a pre-requisite.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop wayfinding designs from concept presentations to detailed design documents
  • Contribute to the development of wayfinding strategy reports
  • Contribute to the creation of clear and effective presentations
  • Actively participate and contribute to brainstorms/design sprints and conduct any relevant research for projects, adding insight and value
  • Ability to take projects through to delivery with active participation and input required on factory and site visits during Implementation stages
  • Have a good understanding of wayfinding, information graphics and design for the built environment
  • Ability to draw to recognised scales
  • Have a good understanding of materials, finishes and construction methods used within the sign industry
  • Attend wayfinding industry events and update the team on current thinking and trends in the field
  • Work collaboratively with the wider design team including the 3D designers, ensuring the delivery of any product is fully co-ordinated with the graphics and meets the highest quality
  • Be able to communicate ideas and conceptual thinking clearly and concisely
  • Be confident in presenting ideas and designs internally and to clients
  • Deliver work according to an agreed timescale
  • Proactively manage and prioritise your own workload whilst working on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Be flexible in design and able to take direction, feedback and observations
  • Assist in achieving studio and project goals

Skills & Experience

  • Strong conceptual and creative graphic designer
  • Understanding of key wayfinding strategic principles
  • Excellent typographic skills
  • Can read, interpret and understand plans and architectural drawings
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High level of interpersonal communication skills with team members and the wider business
  • Excellent time management
  • Ability to meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Knowledge of Sign Agent preferred but not a pre-requisite
  • Minimum 4 year’s experience
