Job Description

At Hearst UK, there’s always more to the story. Join us as our Commercial Digital Designer to start the next chapter in your career.

We’re the UK’s leading premium publisher, and the people behind iconic media brands such as Cosmopolitan, Esquire, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and Country Living. We’ve created a working environment that encourages everyone to pull together. We never stop looking for brave new ideas. We’ll always try to develop and improve, we trust each other to do our best, and we have fun as we build on our heritage to make history.

We are a growing team of hard working and talented designers, editors, art directors and video editors, responsible for the creation of industry-leading branded content. We pride ourselves on our ability to think creatively, be flexible, work collaboratively and in a fast paced environment. Working across the whole Hearst digital portfolio producing an array of products, no one day is the same!

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role will be to produce thumb-stopping animated social posts, interactive media, display ad banners, article composites and AR lenses for a vast array of clients, across multiple channels, for our many trusted brands. You will work on the creation of static and animated collateral for commercial campaigns, taking raw assets and turning them into spectacular designs that nail the client’s brief and are perfectly on brand for our titles. You will keep abreast of the latest design trends, software and social platforms to ensure our content stands out to our audiences. In this highly collaborative role, you will work closely with a variety of talented internal stakeholders to produce first class content on time and on brief.

ABOUT THE CANDIDATE

Our ideal candidate will be a highly self-motivated and an organised individual who is ready to tackle daily challenges, with a willingness to learn on the job and a strong team player mentality. Experience working in a fast paced advertising agency or in-house design team is preferred, along with the ability to work to tight deadlines. Your portfolio should showcase successfully delivered projects that demonstrate a strong flair for design, conceptual thinking and excellent attention to detail. It should also show us that you are a whizz at using Adobe Creative suite - namely: Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and InDesign. Great communication skills and a positive/proactive attitude are a must.
