The Brand Comms team plays a pivotal role in this - telling engaging stories, creating meaningful experiences and entertaining our audience. You’ll be a key member of our in-house creative studio, writing relevant and witty copy for a range of touchpoints. Famed for our tone, you’ll champion the Nando’s voice, evolving the way we speak, bringing creative excellence to everything we do and making sure we show up at our best across all platforms.

Responsibilities:

Contribute to the overall creative process, providing great ideas and copy for campaigns, editorial content, social, digital channels and internal comms e.g. product naming, emails, push notifications, restaurant collateral, SEO landing pages and our magazine

Brainstorm copy ideas with internal teams and collaborate with agency partners

Approach all briefs as a problem to be solved. Find answers that work, are original and relevant to Nando’s

Work with stakeholders across the business to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet them

Communicate, present and sell in the idea clearly and effectively

Amend, revise or re-develop copy in response to feedback

Stay up to date with cultural trends, channel innovation and champion best practice

Be an ambassador for the Copy Team and promote/ protect Nando’s tone of voice in all channels

Day-to-day management of projects, maintaining good working relationships with colleagues, stakeholders and suppliers

Making sure all projects are delivered on time, on budget, on brand, to a high standard and with stakeholder satisfaction

Be approachable and respond to day-to-day queries, contribute to the smooth running of the team and support team members when they need it

Use time effectively and accurately record all aspects of projects

Actively participate in weekly stand-ups, team meetings and strategy sessions and maintain team spirit

Support and mentor a small team of writers from our Bring Your Outside In programme

You’ll have:

An authentic yet adaptable tone of voice that’s naturally witty

5+ years in a copywriting role with a solid understanding of current and emerging trends

A portfolio or examples of work

A flair for spelling, grammar and proofreading

Basic SEO knowledge
