ROLE OUTLINE AND EXPECTATIONS
The marketing/development manager will play a vital role in helping to shape the future development of the studio as we move forwards into our next phase of growth. You will be responsible for supporting the Development Director and wider team in executing strategic outreach and marketing initiatives to build awareness and feed cycle of inbound leads, as well as managing inbound new client enquiries through to conversion and handover into the studio. As an ambassador for Made Thought you will meet with new potential clients therefore you must be a confident communicator and be actively interested in culture, trends and new technologies. This role requires a strategic and creative mind who has their finger on the cultural pulse and who has a confident and inspirational style to drive engagement with clients and colleagues and push the status quo where necessary.
You will be responsible for balancing your role between three key areas of expectation and be confident with time management across all:
LEAD MANAGEMENT (40%):
— Share responsibility for developing, managing and nurturing the new business pipeline in-line with the overall strategy set by Directors and Founders.
— Gather and review leads, briefs and tenders, working with the team to prioritise the right upcoming expansion opportunities against a list of criteria.
— Work as part of a wider team in the writing of proposals for new clients
— Work with the team to organise pitches and create compelling documents that appeal to clients and drive conversion rates amongst desired leads, as well as monitoring success rates and recommending any changes required for improvements to meet goals.
— Act in a captivating and confident manner, which excites clients from the onset, giving them a sense of the progressive yet human approach the studio prides itself upon. You will understand a clients’ rational and emotional reasons for engaging with us and ensure these are embedded within the team.
— Ensure converted leads are smoothly handed over and integrated into the studio.
MARKETING & OUTREACH (40%):
— Work alongside the Development Director in delivering the marketing plan, driving initiatives both for inbound and outbound new client acquisition. Furthermore, you will be expected to make suggestions and then execute new approaches and marketing activity with an awareness of budget allocation.
— Identify and cultivate new opportunities, generating new leads through researching and building prospect lists and strategies.
— Work with the Development Director and wider team to ensure an overall strategic approach is taken in respect of growth areas, focusing outbound new business lead generation accordingly.
— Ensure all activities are focused upon the importance of the impact of great creativity on enhancing the studio, this will include pushing the status quo with marketing and outreach that feels progressive and unexpected out in the world.
— Work closely with the content team to ensure the new business strategy is considered in all content in-line with marketing moments,
NEW BUSINESS DOCUMENTS (20%):
— Alongside the design and content teams you will ensure case studies are up-to-date and available for use in new business generation.
— Create and upkeep compelling credential documents that the whole business can use, making recommendations for improvements where necessary.
— Make suggestions and work with the content team to create other new business and marketing tools that can aid lead conversion and better communicate our offer to clients.
