Designer
Job Description
Overview is a design office in London exploring how cultural ideas can create brands that are distinctive and meaningful for those who experience them.
Between critical thinking, creative strategy, brand and design we shape brands to engage with the times we live in. We believe that brands have a role to play in people's lives, beyond products and services.
Every project we work on starts and ends with an interesting idea. A new take on an old conservative world.
We are looking to hire a designer with the same kind of thinking. Someone who can bring interesting ideas to our team of designers.
We are a new studio and extremely ambitious, we don’t settle for anything half baked, and we push our practice forward at every opportunity.
Our days are varied and often involve chats with clients, site visits, workshops and presentations. We’re not bothered about how good you are with photoshop, or how many qualifications you have. We want someone who’s human and who works well in a team. Someone who’s excited to push their practice forward and has got the grit to do so.
We’re a small team so you’ll benefit from experience on all sides of the creative process. You’ll get the opportunity to grow, and we’ll help you do so.
Responsibilities:
- Developing & refining ideas into working brands and brand identities.
- Working with creative directors to deliver end-to-end branding projects across multiple industries.
- Executing on design across a wide range of mediums including brand, web, apps, social, print and beyond.
- Working with directors to launch studio-generated design & research projects
- Contributing & executing on new ideas to shape the long term trajectory of the business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field (not essential)
- 2-5 years of experience in graphic design
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong communication, conceptual thinking, typography skills, and design skills
- Portfolio of work
- Knowledge of Animation is a giant bonus!
We want Overview to be a space where you can take ownership over your work, explore new ideas without the fear of failing and have the agency to influence the direction of projects. With that in mind, we’d love to find a candidate who’s keen to stay long term and who wants to grow within the company.
We welcome and actively encourage applicants from all backgrounds, ethnicities, genders and orientations.
Salary depends on experience, but ranges from £20 - £30k.
