THE ROLE:

Working directly with one of our key clients, you will drive and support operational excellence and project management brilliance. The role will support and track progress of initiatives throughout the EU Newsroom organisation, ensuring a consistency of visibility, understanding and execution across the brand. This role is central to the effective functioning of the Europe Newsroom team and the brilliant execution of the wider European Newsroom Network. You will be the glue that keeps the team together.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Project management and Newsroom 90-day plan: Support the Europe team on a portfolio of strategic projects and directives, ensuring countries are aligned, timelines are met, and global newsroom objectives achieve. Ensure careful planning and ongoing monitoring and reporting of progress with key stakeholders.
  • Create presentations and communication tools: with support and guidance – design and drive creative ways to communicate ideas and plans for milestones meetings and key newsroom strategies & deliverables
  • Stakeholder management: Ensure ongoing communication to all relevant stakeholders, flagging roadblocks early and suggest opportunities to overcome challenges. Build and maintain strong relationships across the European Newsroom network.
  • Meeting Management: Support Europe Newsroom publishing team in meeting management and prepare the content for regular meetings. Actively participate in calls/meetings with Managing Editor and senior leadership team.
  • Events: Support senior leadership team on all events, including logistics, budget and presentation preparation.
  • Reporting input: Support data analysts on publishing reporting for Europe milestone reports such as half year review.
  • Introduce and communicate processes: Support in onboarding and upskilling of new processes to enable efficient working and collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Deliver fit for purpose campaign toolkits - Support the Senior Manager Operations & digital optimisation in delivering pan-European digital publishing toolkits for key brand campaigns working with our content adaption agency, media agency, media team and local stakeholders.
  • Co-ordinate commercial campaign support: Support Europe publishing team in planning and landing cross-functional commercial campaigns with project management, presentations, and stakeholder communications.
  • Identify and share local wins and best practice examples: Build relationships with local Newsroom teams to gain insight and share best practice examples with the wider Europe Newsroom network.
  • Europe reactive moment planning: Collaborate with the assistant manager digital & partner publishing in tracking and managing Getty image allocation, escalating any issues and supporting to co-ordinate pan-European reactive initiatives
  • Content Excellence: Support the Sr. Manager Operations & Digital optimisation in planning and delivering monthly Content Status Huddles. And support in providing EU Managing Editor visibility of local content creation plans in a clear and simple manner.
  • Day to day operational support: Provide day-to-day support the European team on ad-hoc requests, projects, issues and communications. Often requiring the input and support of local European publishing teams.

  • An understanding of the publishing landscape across digital, Influencers and/or PR.
  • Broad understanding of and passion or the sports and fashion / entertainment industry
  • Advanced presentation skills with the ability to take complex concepts and visualise/articulate them in presentation form
  • 2+ years’ industry and / or relevant work experience
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Retail, Digital or a related field desirable but not essential
  • Interest and passion for the sports industry and the future of digital, partner and PR publishing.
