Position: Design Intern/Junior Graphic Designer

Contract Type: 6 months, Fixed Term Contract, starting 4th July ‘22 (+/-)

Hours: Full Time, 9.30 am - 6 pm

Design Disciplines: Branding, Illustration, Packaging, Print, Animation (Web Design - not essential)

Salary: £22,000 P.A.

Beach is looking for a highly creative Design Intern, with a particular interest in branding, packaging, and illustration, to join our team for 6 months at our studio in Shoreditch. If the candidate has a successful placement, there will be an opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis as a Junior Graphic Designer.

At Beach, we work on an exciting and diverse range of projects across a variety of disciplines. From The Soho House Group to Propercorn, from start-ups to well-established brands, Beach works on a spectrum of projects no matter how big or small.

The Design Intern will be responsible for supporting the design team on day-to-day design needs relating to client projects, both new and existing, as well as the day-to-day running of the studio. The successful candidate must have a meticulous eye for detail as well as an understanding of business imperatives.

This unique position requires a very creative problem solver with an independent and organised mind who can produce work of the highest calibre. The candidate must produce relevant, beautiful, and inspiring design solutions that respond to client and market challenges. Excellent communication skills are essential for this role.

Responsibilities include:

• To assist the design team with day-to-day needs as requested

• To ensure that deadlines are delivered accurately and on schedule

• To provide clear and objective critiques of creative work

• To produce credible, creative design solutions when requested

• To promote the philosophy, values, and beliefs of the company

Experience:

• Proficiency in Adobe Indesign / Photoshop / Illustrator (After Effects - not essential)

• Exceptional creative talent

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

• Must be a detail-oriented problem solver

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong organizational and time management skills
