The role
The Content Lead role is an exciting position in the creative and marketing team at Switch, focusing on social media and digital marketing. You will be the gatekeeper of the brand’s tone of voice, and an expert in how social plays a role in the wider business objectives. Working closely with the internal teams you will effectively tell our story that is strategic and thoughtful resulting in content our audience will love.
What the job entails
- drive our global content strategy to lift engagement across our digital channels and brand touchpoints to educate and stimulate potential Switch customers
- pro-actively follows the first spark to final delivery of excellent social content and campaigns, and ad-hoc company briefs
- ensure all communication output is on brand and unified, aligns with objectives, purpose and target audience
- working closely with the Head of Marketing & Head of Brand to develop thoughtful and engaging content, and ensure excellence in delivery at all times
- convey complex ideas and topics simply and in a engaging way
- build our tone of voice as we evolve
- create and manage social media content plans
- working on multiple briefs, with the ability to manage and prioritise own work flow, whilst think quickly and strategically to a high standard
- turn digital metrics and user personas to table solutions to fit the wider business objectives and identify and seek opportunities
- contribute and generate ideas to wider content deliverables and strategy
- develop a growth mindset to change the world through our clients and our own campaigns to increase inbound sales enquiries and industry referrals
- encouraging an environment of creativity, pushing the team and our awesome clients to strive to go that one step further in seeing the bigger picture
- maintain a detailed awareness of relevant market trends and topics and how this effects Switch’s roadmap
- mentoring and supporting colleagues where needed

At Switch, we’re looking for someone who has
- 4+ years of copywriting experience in content marketing ideally in an agency
- a natural ideas geek and creative who can utilise social and digital capabilities
- embraces the fast-paced nature of a start-up and the ability to adapt
- can think strategically about marketing and sustainability challenges, whatever the brief, audience and channel
- proficient computer skills and a willingness to upskill
- excellent wordsmith and communicator
- a self-starter and has the ability to oversee our brand grow in fast-paced environment
- a ‘can-do’ attitude and a willingness to roll up your sleeves to get the job done well
- can work as a lone wolf and as part of a team

Nice to have
- experience in an EV charging, MaaS, SaaS or b2b tech company
- knowledge of/ experience in the electric vehicle charging sector
- working knowledge of google tag and manager, PPC, paid media
- familiar with SEO practices
Application specifics
- salary range: £45K - £65K per year, depending on experience
- full-time perm role, Monday to Friday, 40hrs per week
- reporting to Head of Marketing and Communications
- educated to degree level or above
