ABOUT THE ROLE

Your role as designer will be to work as part of the Luxury Hub assisting the art team in designing products and pages for ELLE, Esquire and Harper’s Bazaar and to help maintain the brands creative vision across all platforms. You’ll be responsible for working on design and visuals across all Hearst Luxury products— print, digital, events, marketing materials and commercial projects.

You will work closely to support the Creative Director, 2 x Art Directors, Art Editor, Senior Designers with the day to day workflow as well as working with the wider editorial teams involved in content creation to help realise the brands vision on the page or screen.

Your key responsibilities will involve:

  • Designing pages and products across all brands and platforms, print and digital, at the direction of more senior members of the art hub
  • Designing across supplements and spin off print products across all brands
  • Working closely with editorial teams across brands on visual content creation across all platforms.
  • Liaising and collaborating with internal commercial departments on commercial projects across all brands.
  • To undertake administrative departmental tasks as required, including processing image cut-outs, uploading images to censhare, creating PDF’s and creation of individual brand signatures each month.
  • Attending editorial or company meetings as required
  • To be an ambassador of Hearst UK and its values.

You may be required to undertake such further duties as your skills, qualifications and experience allow and/or as may be assigned to you from time to time.

EXPERIENCE & CORE SKILLS

  • Experience on the art desk of a major publication.
  • A strong creative eye and ability to generate visual ideas
  • Ability to forge excellent working relationships with an editorial team
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects, collaborative approach to working with multiple editorial teams
  • Genuine enthusiasm for the work produced across Hearst’s luxury brands
  • Ability to absorb and adapt to different ways of working of different brands / EICs
  • Ability to prioritise most pressing work despite competing pressures
