Overview:
We’re looking for a conceptual art director to team up with one of our copywriters– someone who’s big on big ideas, with the portfolio to prove it.
In a nutshell:
- You have big ideas that win awards and pitches
- You have top-drawer AD craft skills and can articulate your vision (via scamps or CS)
- You understand how to use different channels to bring your ideas to life
- You have hands-on experience working on productions of all shapes and sizes from animation/cgi, to agile social shoots and high-end broadcast/cinema
- You put as much effort into the little jobs as you do the big ones
- No egos – you collaborate well with everyone, and are proactive

The role:
We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced conceptual art director looking for a new challenge. Teaming up with one of our copywriters (and happy to work with others), they will work across a range of the agency’s clients to produce head-turning concepts that win awards and new business. Our candidate will have the confidence and tenacity needed to see their ideas through to completion – displaying brilliant craft and execution skills on the way. Someone who has big ideas and can develop them across the integrated mix to get the best from each channel. They’ll work well with colleagues from all departments, collaborating with copywriters, designers, CDs, motion designers and planners, as well as external suppliers like photographers, directors and illustrators, to make every piece of work the best it can be. We’re looking for someone who will put as much energy into the day-to-day jobs as they do the big ones and pitches. A seasoned AD with an agency track-record, they’ll know how to critically assess a brief to spot potential pitfalls and opportunities. They’ll also be adept at presenting, whether to internal stakeholders or to clients.

- Tackle all projects – large and small – with gusto
- Present confidently to colleagues and clients
- Knowledge of Creative Suite
- Ensure client work is always on brand
- Complete work within time and budget
- Keep up to speed with industry innovations and trends
- Understand the different needs and possibilities of different channels
- Defend work with passion but pragmatism
- Proactively contribute to the department, or otherwise assist where needed
- Challenge briefs and feedbacks where appropriate in a constructive way
- Add value to every project
