ABOUT THE ROLE
The Digital Design Editor creates industry-leading and innovative motion graphics and imagery for the Cosmopolitan UK website, social channels, video platforms and app. You will work closely with the Social Media Manager, Creative Director and Video Lead to create eye-catching visuals, and with writers to produce assets that bring written content to life through images and animation.
KEY DUTIES:

- Co-ordinate with the Social Media Manger and Deputy Social Media Manager on social animation ideas, themes and packages.
- Create eye-catching animated snaps for our daily Snapchat Discover channel that will grab our readers’ attention on a regular basis while staying true to the Cosmopolitan brand.
- Create engaging visual content for the Cosmopolitan UK website, be it asset production for the latest celebrity cover, a design for a topical feature, brand logos or an animation for a commercial-led project.
- Design digital assets for print content, ranging from moving covers to features and special projects.
- Assist with the production of brand marketing assets such as animations and graphics for digital points of sale in retailers, promoting the latest issue.
- Play a pivotal role in building a reputation for industry-leading and innovative visual content.
ABOUT YOU:
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing high quality motion graphics and digital animations using After Effects (or similar motion graphics and visual effects software), ideally for a large media brand.
- A strong creative eye, able to quickly turn simple picture ideas and article headlines into bright, fun, striking animations our readers will love.
- Experience using Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar, is essential.
- Experience using Snapchat content in any way, shape or form is desirable.
- Up-to-date with advancements in animation and motion graphics, as well as new technologies, techniques and contemporary trends in digital design.
