Job Description

Nelson Bostock is looking for a highly creative Junior Designer to join our talented, multi-faceted studio which sits at the heart of the Comms Division in the Unlimited Group.

The Comms Division includes three specialist PR & comms agencies: Fever (consumer and influencer), Health (B2B Health) and Nelson Bostock (B2B Tech & Corporate). Key clients across the Division include Canon, Bayer, Biogen, BT, EE, Google, Now TV, Sky, Sobi and Warner.

Overview:

The Junior Designer will be part of a 10-strong integrated design team which includes digital, branding and multimedia designers plus a photographer and videographer.

The ideal candidate ideally have some background in Health. They will have a strong portfolio of work that demonstrates their design skills.

The role will support all three agencies with a variety of client work – from infographics through to digital & social assets and editorial design .

It will also cover new business and marketing support – from visualising and illustrating ideas for creative collateral to presentations and magazines.

The right candidate will be self-motivated and passionate with a desire to learn and develop their skills. They’ll show a keen design eye, with attention to detail and a knowledge of digital trends and industry innovation. They’ll be hungry to work within a team that creates award-winning work and will be willing to push themselves as far as possible, learning new skills and adapting to new situations quickly.

Requirements

  • Proven experience of developing design concepts
  • Team player, prepared to work both proactively and in a reactive and flexible way
  • Have a keen eye for detail and be able to maintain quality control of work

Have the ability to create at least 4 or 5 of the following:

  • Infographics
  • Editorial Layouts
  • Social Media Content – static and animated content across a range of platforms
  • Gifs – design and build
  • New Business Visualisations
  • E-Marketing Designs
  • PowerPoint Presentations
  • Website Design

Also:

  • Must have excellent communication skills
  • Ability to manage own time. Ensure work is completed within time and budget and raise any concerns relating to deadlines early on
  • Ensure a consistent brand identity
  • Multi-tasker

Specific skills / experience required:

  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator (essential)
  • Experience of working in PowerPoint
  • Confident, articulate and creative
