What you’ll be doing

Do you want to help work with our fantastic Art team, supporting them in delivering designs on a wide range of projects?

Reporting to the Creative Services Manager, you will facilitate the progress of projects across all the Orion Group imprints, and working closely with the Design and Editorial teams ensure titles go to print on schedule, and error free. You’ll also be supporting the design team with a variety of admin tasks.

This is an ideal role for someone with excellent attention to detail, a passion for books and strong time management skills looking to progress and build their skills across a broad range of genres, in a stimulating, fast-paced environment.

Excellent administrative and organisational skills are essential in this role.

Management of projects through the art department to ensure that all deadlines are met, accuracy and quality of work are maintained while considering priorities and title profiles.

Managing requests from Production and Editorial for reprint corrections.

Providing design team with support by running systems and processes to enable clear communication, coordination, tracking and reporting on the Art Department deliverables, performance and outputs

Support the Creative Services Manager with creation of all contracts and purchase orders relating to jacket or inside artwork/design.

Key point of communication with Sales and Marketing for supply of cover and selling materials.

Attendance at Design and Editorial meetings to keep aware of changes, progress, and updates as necessary.

Who we are looking for

You will be highly organized with the ability to prioritise, work under pressure, and to tight deadlines. You must have a flexible, proactive approach with good problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Familiar with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite

Effective time management and organisational skills

Can work independently when needed or as part of a team
