Do you want to design award-winning book covers? Do you want to work with some of the best designers in the business and grow your skills? We are looking for a Junior Designer / Art worker to join the Orion Art Department!
What you’ll be doing
You will be working with Art Directors and Designers who will help you grow in role and teach you the skills to progress your career. You will develop and understand how to design book covers and send them to print. This role will service our Literary lists, but not exclusively. At points you will work on commercial publishing, special editions, illustrated books and gifts, whilst being supported in growing your skill set to deliver in these areas.
What we are looking for
The ideal candidate would be someone just starting out on their design journey, who understands basic design principles but is looking to hone them further. You should have a thirst to learn, good organisational skills and the ability to problem solve with support. Collaboration and effective communication are important, as is the desire to understand the marketplace and the end customer.

The role will be based at our London office, Carmelite House, with a blend of in-office (3 days) and homeworking (2 days) per week.
