Job Description

We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our thriving project team.

The role will primarily involve working across our long-standing tech sector clients, so a passion for this industry is a must.

Supported by project managers and overseen by Senior Directors, your job will be to lead on a variety of projects under these accounts. The majority of briefs are B2B, and our clients often rely on us to help them unpick these briefs and re-shape them into something more structured, then make a plan to deliver. We like to work collaboratively with our clients, so you’ll be expected to enjoy working as a team towards a common goal.

Working closely with the strategic and creative teams is also a fundamental part of the job, so an interest and understanding of what designers, copywriters and strategists do, and an awareness of how to get the best from different disciplines and personalities is important.

Project responsibilities

We’ll work with you to onboard you on the accounts and support your learning and understanding. Once you’re up and running, you’ll be able to work with minimal instruction from senior director team members and above, to:

  • Take a lead role on projects of various sizes, alongside the Creative Lead and Account Director
  • Interpret complex B2B client briefs, ensuring you understand the challenge and are adept at problem solving to find a solution
  • Lead on client communications, often supporting them through crunchy deadlines and challenging stakeholders their side
  • Oversee Project Managers to ensure project admin is always up to scratch. You’ll have a keen eye of detail and a high standard to set.
  • Understand resourcing requirements, ensuring the right creatives are put on the right projects
  • Report on accurate project finances.

Role model behaviours at the Senior level

  • Considered: You understand briefs from the client's perspective and are consistent in considering them at all stages of the project.
  • Exacting: You strive for excellence across every project that you work on, refining the details that count in all work leaving the office, ensuring that everything meets our standards.
  • Calm: You understand that change is a given on most projects and can bring levity and warmth to difficult situations, to help boost morale and assure the team that solutions can be found.
  • Insightful: You embrace throwing yourself into complex problems outside of your area of expertise. You’re not intimidated by having to do a lot of reading and thinking in order to be able to fully engage with a brief.
  • Self-aware: You wear your experience and knowledge lightly. You know when to speak and when to listen. You would never consider yourself experienced enough to no longer be interested and fully engaged in the ideas of others.
  • Collaborative: You are an approachable team leader and driver, building on the ideas of others to find the best possible solution. You publicly acknowledge the effort, hard work and support of others. You make time for everyone, stressing the collective - the ‘we’ and not the ‘I’.
  • Responsible: You take full ownership over the projects that you lead on. Everyone knows they can rely on you, and you’re proud of that. If something needs doing, you'll stick around to do it with minimum fuss.
  • Honest: You know how to be open and candid with others in a way that is always productive and solutions focused. You are sensitive enough to be able to disagree with others or give negative feedback (and receive it) without causing upset.

You’ll need to be an expert in Google Suite, including Docs and Sheets.

It would be great (but not essential) if you have prior experience working in or around design and creativity.

Benefits

  • Flexi-hours: We offer flexi-time around our core working hours to allow for personal commitments.
  • Hybrid working: Our team split their time between our studio in Farringdon, central London, and remote working.
  • Career development: We have a considered and robust framework for career development, as well as an annual training budget of £1,000 to further your skill set and knowledge.
  • Holidays: 28 days per year (in addition to public holidays)
  • Company sick pay scheme
  • Private healthcare: We offer comprehensive, fully-subsidised private health insurance from Vitality.
  • Wellbeing support: We offer a budget that our team can spend on their wellbeing and on mental and physical health services.
  • Family friendly: Enhanced maternity and paternity packages
