The role

As a brand copywriter, you’ll work across a diverse range of exciting projects and industry sectors, having the freedom to lead the verbal identity and tone of voice in close collaboration with the creative team.

Key responsibilities

  • Contributing to and helping shape brand strategy
  • Conceptualising and developing tone of voice for contemporary brands and campaigns
  • Leading and owning the verbal side of creative work
  • Contributing to brand concepts and the studio’s marketing strategy/activity
  • Presenting work to clients and proactively responding to their needs and feedback
  • Writing thought pieces related to brand and cultural trends
  • Mentoring and inspiring other members of the team from a copy perspective
  • Define and lead copy-related and naming workshops

About you

  • You’re enthusiastic, curious with positive energy, and a passion for learning
  • You’re an excellent conceptual thinker, but can also craft and realise your written ideas
  • A proven track record of creating memorable copy for brands and campaigns
  • You can manage multiple projects and communicate your progress with clarity to your team and clients
  • You stay abreast of contemporary culture, design trends and changing technologies
  • You can adapt your thinking and execution to a range of different clients and industries
  • You have a minimum of 5 years’ studio experience

Essential skills

  • A solid grasp of the fundamentals of good copywriting and the ability to push boundaries into more experimental, conceptual thinking and writing
  • Consistently produce high-level work, starting and finishing projects autonomously
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of ToV principles
  • Craft ownable brand narratives and verbal identities
  • Work across all stages of the strategic and creative process
  • Possess analytical and desk-based research skills
  • Take responsibility for a creative challenge from creation to delivery (leadership)
