Junior Project Manager & Studio Assistant
Job Description
North is looking for the right candidate to join our creative team based in Clerkenwell, London.
North is now in its 28th year as an independent design studio.
We are identity specialists, with experience working globally with a breadth of cultural and corporate organisations around the world such as Tate, Meta, (Workplace), Amazon, Munch (Norway), Central (Thailand), Norwich University of the Arts, KaDeWe (Berlin), Barbican. We work on a wide range of projects from Brand Strategy, Brand Identity through to Campaigns, Signage and Wayfinding, Animation, Website and Digital Design.
As a Junior Project Manager & Studio Assistant you will be working closely with our Project Director, Creative Directors and Project Manager as well as the wider design team to ensure the smooth running of the studio and the delivery of projects on time and on budget.
This is the perfect position to build a project management career in a creative studio environment.
Your experience
- 2+ years professional experience in a design studio or similar creative agency preferrable
- An understanding of, and affinity for the creative process
Required skills:
Project Management
- Supporting partners and PM to ensure consistent organisation and management: Creating schedules, budget, planning
- Monitoring project deadlines and team workload
- Liaising with clients to keep them informed on project status and gathered required assets
- Liaising with production suppliers to ensure smooth running of the production (quote, production timeline, delivery)
- Assisting with project research
Studio Assistance
- Ensuring the smooth running of the studio on a day-to-day basis
- Maintaining studio supplies such as refreshments, stationery and any other project needs
- Coordinating meetings, booking online meetings and diary entries into studio calendar
- Answering phones (All studio do this), managing post, ordering couriers and taxis for staff and clients
- Preparing/ ordering of refreshments for meetings and lunches
- Monitoring project expenses; Coordinating travels
- Maintaining studio archive and filing of projects
Softwares:
- Pack Office on Mac (Word / Excel / PPT)
- Pages, Keynote, Adobe
- Knowledge of Dropbox, Google Docs / Sheets / Workplace / InDesign and Project Management tools (Asana, Trello, Monday or Click-up) preferred

- This is a Studio based position (5 days/week) at the heart of London in our beautiful studio in Clerkenwell
