We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Bid Manager based in our London hub, working within our business development and strategy team to support the work of our UK agencies www.eventcomm.com, www.metstudio.com and www.designpm.co.uk and to help drive the growth of our Group www.museumstudio.com.
We’re looking for an experienced professional who is a versatile team-player, to help us identify new business opportunities through researching leads, through trends analysis and through data analytics, and who can own our studio-wide bidding workflow.

Purpose of the role
- To oversee the process of developing new project pitches and responding to tender competitions
- To proactively develop new business – building networks, undertaking market research and cultivating leads.
- To input to marcomms activities across all channel
Responsibilities
- Manage the calendar of pitches in order to prioritise work and enable the team to delegate tasks effectively.
- Ensure correct and timely circulation of all-important information regarding leads and pitches to relevant staff and Directors.
- Proactively prepare responses to tender documentation for review and input by relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure the quality, design and relevance of all pitch documentation is up to date and of the highest standard.
- Coordinate production, printing and delivery of documentation as required.
- Ensure the post-pitch follow up process is completed. Request and collate relevant feedback and undertake commercial analysis.
- Develop and implement a holistic Customer Relationship Management-driven workflow, tracking interactions with clients, advocates, suppliers and collaborators. Transition legacy data and portfolio collateral to a new CRM system, working in association with relevant stakeholders.
- Develop and implement processes for management reporting and data analytics (qualitative and quantitative measures of business development activities) in association with the Business Development Directors.
- Proactively build and develop a network of relevant contacts that further the objectives of the company and lead to new projects.
- Represent the business in meetings with prospective clients, partners and others, including conferences, fairs and other sector-relevant events.
- Establish good working relationships with sub-contractors and partners when pitching in collaboration with other companies.
- Monitor all tender opportunities arising on platforms such as TED, MyTenders, MuseumInsider and RFP-Leads, and inform senior team of relevant opportunities.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Extensive bid management experience within a design/architecture business, cultural organisation or brand development environment
- Solid understanding of design industry and built environment project processes and deliverables
- Sound knowledge of procurement practice, especially in the public and cultural sectors
- Degree in a relevant discipline – ideally architecture or design
- Full competency in the use of Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office
- Experience of working with CRM systems, including data input, analytics and reporting
- Experience of networking, presenting and engaging confidently in formal and informal situations with clients from a wide range of organisational and cultural backgrounds
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to identify and communicate any opportunities for efficiencies and/or process improvements.
- Proactive learning approach, with growing knowledge of internal and industry-wide processes and standards.
- Ability to work flexibly, adapting to new ways of working, collaborating across teams.
- Ability to work independently, taking initiative and being proactive.
- Excellent time management across multiple pitches and tenders, prioritising tasks / resourcing where needed.
- Excellent written English.
- Competency in another European language, Chinese or Arabic would be advantageous.
