Job Description

About Us

Matter Of Form is an independent, award winning, brand & digital design agency. Using strategy, creativity and technology we help timeless brands design what’s next. We are a multi-disciplinary team and provide our clients with best-in-class services ranging from branding, to digital experience design, to social content, to e-commerce optimization.

About the role

The social media team at Matter Of Form are united in their passion and commitment to designing strategically insightful, and beautifully crafted, social media solutions for our clients. They are looking for an equally enthusiastic and ambitious intern to join them and create scroll-stopping content across a growing roster of clients.

No two days will be the same as you’ll have the opportunity to do whatever it takes to produce engaging content - source content & music, edit imagery, craft video assets, assist & attend photo shoots. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to work alongside a team of social media experts as they produce and update content calendars, identify content opportunities and conceptualise campaign ideas.

About you

This won’t just be a job to you. Creativity and social media are your passions.

You’ll have a solid understanding of the social media landscape, knowing how creativity and crafting engagement content can make a TikTok hit the #ForYou page, drive clicks and swipe ups. You’ll relish the chance to work in a busy, fast-paced environment and be up-to-speed with all the latest trends. We have a fabulous client base and partner with luxury brands especially within the hospitality, beauty, retail and travel sectors. As such, you will share our passion for the finer things in life too and have a love for fashion, travel and socialising.

Finally, you’ll be looking to become part of a team and relish the opportunity to work and learn from like-minded social media experts and our wider design team.

The requirements

  • Ability to create engaging social content and assets
  • Thorough understanding of key social platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Tik Tok, Pinterest & LinkedIn
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator and Photoshop). An ability to shoot video would be a big advantage.
  • Ability to conceptualise ideas for social campaigns
  • A passionate enthusiasm to learn & try new things
  • Ability to prioritise work and self organise
  • A willingness to work in a fast paced environment
  • Flexible attitude, happy to roll up your sleeves to help on any task
  • A willingness to get stuck in & meet new people

About our offer to you

We are committed to nurturing amazing talent to join us in this exciting & transformative industry. We will offer you a genuine opportunity to grow, learn & develop by working on live client projects. We will endeavour to make the internship the most rewarding and informative experience for you. At times you & your skills will be pushed, maybe beyond your comfort zone, but you’ll be part of a supportive team, championing your progress.

We genuinely see the internship as a springboard opportunity to launch a successful career within the design industry. If at the end of the 3 month internship we are looking to expand the design team, we may offer you a permanent role (but sadly can’t commit to this obligation at the beginning of your time with us).

The important stuff

This is a paid internship offering £1,880 per month

The internship is offered for a 3 month duration starting January 2021.

We are currently working at home, in line with government guidelines, but should the situation change we will operate a hybrid model; 3 days based in our London office & 2 days remote. Therefore applicants must be willing & able to commute & work in our London office

We do not offer sponsorship for interns so applicants must have the right to work in the UK
