Job Description

Thred Media:

Thred Media is a social enterprise focused on Publishing, Media, Consulting and Production. We are Gen Z – from our Founder to our client partners, researchers, writers, designers, and of course, our global change-maker community. The central tenet is our online publication, Thred.com, which is shaped by youth culture and powered by social change. The consulting team over at Thredmedia.com harnesses the power of our community and helps brands connect with young audiences in new, powerful and planet-positive ways. It’s a Gen Z approach to futurecasting insights and content production using hyper-focused research and co-creation strategies.

The role:

We are growing our consulting team and need a Marketing Executive to develop our external communications, build up brand awareness and help with client projects. This is an entry-level role, therefore no particular experience is necessary, but knowledge of industry trends, excellent writing skills, design ability and strong attention to detail are essential.

The candidate must be confident independently crafting marketing materials, both visual and text-based. We are seeking someone who can bring a lot of initiative to the role and use their research and writing skills to contribute to a wide variety of client projects. They should be business-minded as well as having creative flair.

We are a small team that requires flexibility and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed. This makes for a varied and interesting workload and the perfect position for someone looking to grow within a dynamic workplace in the media, consulting and insights industries. You will always be encouraged to voice ideas or opinions and be met with energy and enthusiasm.

Key responsibilities:

  • Crafting marketing materials and posting them regularly across our channels, eventually leading and executing our marketing strategy, inclusive of press releases and prospecting campaigns
  • Staying abreast of industry news and taking part in the ideating, planning and research process for pitches
  • Helping members of the team with tasks related to insights, co-creation and media projects for our clients whilst handling smaller internal projects independently
  • Designing visual assets for client briefs, including but by no means limited to research reports and social media posts

Essential:

  • A degree in a relevant subject
  • Good eye for design and graphic design skills, not necessarily in the Adobe Suite
  • Exceptional writing ability with marketing flair
  • Thorough, accurate and efficient researching skills
  • Sharp-minded team-player with a self-starting attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and confident managing projects

Preferred:

  • Experience in a marketing role or at a creative agency
  • Experience breaking down and communicating complex information succinctly
  • Experience running professional social media accounts
  • Experience editing social media video content (in or outside of apps)
  • Knowledge of current social and environmental change movements

Preferred Technology:

  • Google Analytics
  • Google Drive
  • Microsoft Office
  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Canva
  • Facebook Business
  • Social Media In-App Editors

Details:

  • Permanent, full-time
  • 10.00 – 18:30 with an hour for lunch, Monday – Friday
  • Working from home Monday and Friday, working from our central London office Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday
  • Personal development and learning opportunities
  • Thursday drinks and early finish Friday
  • £24,500 PA
