Who are Big Potato?

We’re an indie board game company based in the heart of Shoreditch. From quiz games to drawing games, TV game shows to mobile apps, we like to turn our hands to all sorts. No matter what the project, we always try to stick to one golden rule: to make sure our games are easy to understand, fun to play and guaranteed to get the party started.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone creative who’s keen to jump into the board game world right away. You don’t need to know everything about board games to apply, but be interested to learn and get stuck in. We’re after someone who loves social media and will get a kick out of creating great content that our community will enjoy.

You need to:

Have at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Have experience in creating online content.

Have a firm understanding of social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Pinterest.

Know your way around Google sheets and docs.

Have a keen attention to detail and strong organization skills.

Know how to create basic social media reports.

Have a good knowledge of simple design tools like Canva and editing skills on Premiere Pro or a similar program.

Be capable of managing your time and working to strict deadlines.

Be able to think on your feet and capture behind the scenes content on the fly.

Have an interest in party games in general. Like we said, we’re not looking for experts, but if you’ve ever hung out at a board games cafe or hosted a pub quiz, it definitely wouldn’t hurt to mention it.

Other bits:

Salary: up to £24,000 a year, experience depending

Location: Shoreditch, London (or working from home if that’s the Government’s advice)

Contract: Permanent, after a 3-month probationary period

Hours: 9:30 to 6, Monday to Thursday

Benefits: Apple laptop provided, lots of free board games, 4-day working week.

Reporting to the Head of Social Media & Community Management within the marketing team.
