About the role

In a newly developed role, we are looking for a passionate Head of Product Design to build, lead and manage Trinity’s digital product design. In this role, you'll be a foundational member of the team, reporting directly to the Chief Product Officer, with a front row seat creating products. This is a critical role with significant responsibility driving Trinity’s strategic product design vision, perspective, and execution. You'll be working with partners in academic, engineering, operations and content, and other disciplines to build great products addressing real user needs.

Build and run a Design practice to consistently deliver great experiences for Trinity’s users/customers, supporting our customer-centric, digital transformation.

Own all design facets: interaction, visual, product and prototyping. Responsible for creating and testing pixel perfect mocks for new features across web and mobile, including for example design and delivery of testable prototypes and proofs-of-concept using industry standard tools (e.g., Figma, Bubble).

Create and implement the interaction and visual design language; lead the design life cycle and create the product UX/UI in close collaboration with the product, engineering, verticals, markets and operational teams; provide insights and feedback to Trinity teams to drive continuous improvement.

Facilitate cross-collaboration between cross departmental academic research teams and other specialists, and build momentum across distributed teams, on an international portfolio of products.

About You

You’ll be a highly accomplished Head of UX/UI or Senior Designer who has employed best practices to successfully craft exceptional user experiences in responsive web and mobile.

Extensive experience in human centred design, modern tech delivery practices, coaching and mentoring, tooling and measurement, and a clear perception of the commercial value of great

design and the importance of customer-focused, data-driven decisions. The proven ability to cut through ineffective processes and replace them with better versions.

You are collaborative, creative, self-motivated and outcome-focused, with a hands-on, entrepreneurial style, and be able to demonstrate experience of fostering healthy relationships with internal and external partners and agencies to get the best out of both sides.

EdTech experience would be very helpful, but it's not essential.

Educated to degree level or equivalent and evidence of relevant continued professional development
