ABOUT GLASSETTE

Glassette is a place of discovery, excitement, newness and thoughtful consumerism. Our communication strategy, responsibility manifesto and carefully curated edit of brands makes us one of the worlds most forward-thinking and progressive homeware platforms. We have a growing roster of over 230 brands on our platform with plans to launch international brands and markets in the coming year. THE ROLE

We are looking for a mid-weight designer, someone who can take the initial spark of an idea and develop it into a beautiful campaign or identity; someone to play a central role in sharpening and evolving the Glassette brand. This person should be immersed in art, culture and design, someone who is always looking for inspiration and always looking for a better and more simple way to do things. They should be obsessed with detail and strive to evoke excitement and emotion in their work. This is a big year for Glassette and we need a creative and capable designer who can help us translate our big ideas into captivating campaigns. This is a great opportunity to be a key part of a team that wants to revolutionise how we shop for the home. We’re a close knit, agile and collaborative team who work hard to get great results but also want to have fun whilst doing it!

WHAT YOU NEED

A track record of creating beautiful identities

An intricate understanding of interior design/homeware industry

The ability to define and adhere to brand guidelines

The ability to use After Effects and associated motion software

The ability to execute creative ideas into visual identities rooted in rationale and meaning

The ability to present designs to stakeholders in a clear, concise manner and accept feedback graciously.

Skills in art direction for both small scale photography and video shoots

4+ years experience in graphic design roles for retail/tech businesses

To be a driving force for powerful creative work and continually push boundaries

Proficiency with current industry standard design and collaboration tools like Adobe Creative Cloud & Figma

Experience working in a small team with proven ability to work well with other people and be a team player

QUALITIES

Excellent communications skills

Slick and effective organisation skills, the ability to stay agile and consistent across multiple tasks and projects at the same time

Willing to take creative risks but also to follow and interpret creative direction

Vocal about design values and processes, and willing to challenge the status quo

Fascinated by interiors, culture and great design

Takes ownership and accountability for their role in key projects and campaigns

Enthusiasm is paramount! We are looking for someone who strives for excellence in every aspect of their work

Obsessed with detail and consistency - always works to a high standard and checks and double checks their own work

A creative solution finder who seeks out opportunities and loves to find new ways to approach things

We are a family owned and run company, run by Laura and Dan who are sister and brother-in-law. The concept to aggregate the homeware industry started with an idea in Jan 2021 - and launched to rave reviews in November 2022. We are a small hard-working team where everyone gets stuck in - good culture is at the heart of everything we do.
